Sometimes a picture is worth at least 55,000 plus words to me

I LOVE visuals when I write. I don't always need them but sometimes... it helps. I put this one in negative so I don't give too much away. LOL. It's a Zorn book I'm working on. The main lead male is one you haven't met yet. You'll be introduced to him in the 4th Zorn book. (Hoping it gets picked up...obviously... since yeah, he's a character from it.) If that can't inspire a writer... well, it sure does me! I also listen to music while I write. I always have because it helps me 'get into the zone' by helping me find a certain 'mood'. LOL. Also... with kids... it can be really distracting to hear 'every' sound they make so Mr. Laurann keeps them busy when I write so I can put on headphones. When he's not home and the kids are alone with me... I can't do that. I need to be able to hear them. LOL.

This is another book I'm writing that I made for a visual for. This is a Cyborg story... if the skin tone didn't give it away. LOL. You will meet this character in Melting Iron. That's the third Cyborg Seduction book. It will be getting a release date in near future. I'd tell you the working title on this book and the other one but the truth is... some of my titles get changed. So... this is the photo I use to inspire me for the Cyborg story.
.
Yes, I usually write more than one book at a time. It helps me avoid writer's block. If I get hung up on one... I jump to another WIP... then get a breather to come back at the first one again. That way I'm always writing. How many are on my 'writing' list currently? Three. Yeah. Some get more attention than others but it all depends on where my mind is and how the 'flow' is going. Two of them are Zorn books and one is the Cyborg book.
.
I announced that I was offered a contract! I sent it in. If you clicked over to my Website I gave you enough hints that you know it's Propositioning Mr. Raine. It's a contemporary western! I love reading them and I love writing them. I got a few emails from readers who were confused. (You made me smile). Okay, here's the deal. I LOVE writing Sci-fi. I love those Zorn and I love my Cyborgs but I also love cowboys. Just like everyone else, I read a lot of different kinds of books and sometimes... I write them too. Ever in a mood for Chinese food or Italian? Well, just like that... sometimes I'm in the mood to write something different. In this case, it was a contemporary western that came to me after a friend of mine found herself starting over after being with the same man for a long time. It got me thinking... how scary to be alone suddenly and to have to start over like that... and the book came to me. My friend had a happy ending, btw... met a great guy and they are happy together. So there is the story behind why that book hit me upside the head. I am NOT going to stop writing Zorn or Cyborgs. I'm working on both right now. No worries there if you like them and want to read more.
.
I hope that everyone has a great week! I'm in countdown mode for Kissing Steel coming out! I'm really excited. Here's the trailer and a link if you haven't seen either. It releases April 16th so... a week from Friday!

  5. Hi Cari, Thanks! Sorry I haven't been on here. Yesterday I fell. I'm fine but a bit bruised and I'm typing one handed. I tried to catch myself... ended up nailing 2 fingers on my right hand which I iced really well but they are still swollen and painful so I've been reading. I had bought Lora Leigh's new breed book which I read last night. (Love those Breeds) and I bought a few ebooks so they are on my reading agenda today.
