I'm sooooo glad the holidays are over! Now... I get to plan a birthday part for my turning 7yo daughter for next weekend. LOL. It never ends!!! Kids are easy though. I order their favorite fast food, run to Vons with the birthday kid to let them pick a cake out of the bakery cake book to order, and then just do a little shopping. I used to go all out, bake the cake, do my own food... but now I'm older, wiser, and lazier! LOL. It is so less stressful.
I'm writing right now, working on a few things. I never write just one book at a time. I'm working on the fifth Zorn book (title not in stone yet), working on 2 Cyborg books (one half way done, the other one a few chapters in) and when I feel like editing... I'm working on Mate Set which needs some re-writes before I'm going to submit it. I kind of stalled on my writing a bit the last few weeks deciding I needed to back off a little and take a well deserved break. I wrote 7 books and submitted 6 of them in just over a 8 month period so... yeah. I deserved a little break! Now that it's over... I'm back to writing every day and working on the projects I want to finish.
I'm really looking forward to my coming edits. I know some authors hate them, groan and moan... but not me. Sure, it is painful to deal with all the flaws you missed and now have to fix (LOL) but... edits mean release dates and release dates mean getting the book out! I'm really looking forward to that! It's exciting like a roller coaster ride. Highs, lows, your lunch wanting to come up sometimes during the ride but the great rush you get too. That's a ride I want to be on! I'm so grateful it's not funny to be writing and getting my books out there. Think over excited puppy dog frantically wagging their tail... and you have an idea of how I feel at times.
I also wanted to officially say it here... it's 2010!!! YEAH!!! I love a fresh page in life!
