Hello all, I hope you're enjoying the new year so far. Laurann would like to share with her readers, that on Christmas day she suffered a small stroke. She spent a few days in the hospital, and came home Saturday night. She is expected to fully recover in the next couple months. Her vision is blurry, therefore she can't do much reading. We ask that you stay patient as we go through all your wonderful emails. :)
On a much better note, Haunting Blackie is being released on February 4th! Enjoy the rest of your week, and please keep Laurann's recovery in your thoughts. :)

Get well soon. As much as I love getting new books, your health and that of your family is your number one priority. So take it easy, and listen to your body. Don't overdue work. It will always be there tomorrow:)
ReplyDeleteGet well , sorry to hear about your mishap, get better soon, listen to your doctors, and most importantly listen to your body. Don't over do it. Trust me it is easy to do. Your always in my prayers. Jan
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in my prayers. Take care of yourself and don't worry about work. Like the others said before we have A Lot of books to reread. Take care!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Laurann! Take care, have patience and be ok before to think about new books.

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery! Take care of yourself and take your time. Your fans are loyal and we'll wait until you're good as new. :)
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
ReplyDeleteWhen you're up to it, I'm sure stories about Jericho, vengeance, and darkness will help you feel better :D
Agreed. Vengeance will be interesting, reminds me of Obsidian. Darkness is probably already written, Jericho, you know I wouldn't be surprised if its Kit that ends up claiming him. Why? Very aggressive but soft hearted, though I suspect it may not be the case, I am interested to see who Kit and Breeze take for mates, as well as Rusty and Sunshine. And if more gift females take mates since I did like Beauty. Get well and it'd be great to hear from you Laurann.
DeleteThe nurse in me wants to ask lots of questions to determine how serious the stroke was. The reader in me wants to sob. The less selfish more noble part of me wants to wish Laurann a gentle but speedy recovery. Rest and recover. The reading world will wait.
ReplyDeleteTabetha, when you have a minute to spare, please drop us a line and update us on Laurann's condition. Hopefully the news is awesome and she's kicking some physical therapist butt!
ReplyDeleteI second what Cylver said. Be well and take care of yourselves.
DeleteI agree...hoping Laurann is doing well and kicking her some PT hiney...
DeleteI am so sorry to hear about the stroke you suffered Laurann! I wish you speedy recovery. Blessed Be!

(True was outstanding and now I am reading Blackie... You are a very special author, Laurann!)
Laurann, you did it again. Yes you did (nods my head), Blackie is fantabulous. I just finished reading it for the first time and after dinner I will start reading it again.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting to see that Cyborgs with all their advances could still be as stupid as those that created them.Blackie is well written and definitely worth more than reading once or twice. Blackie is a keeper. Thank you for a well written story. WELL DONE!!!
I hope you get better soon. So sorry to hear about the stroke you suffered Laurann! Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to love Blackie BUT..... I was truly disappointed. Seemed too much like cyborg meets new species. Not too much of a story seemed rushed with no real plot. I love all your other books and characters but Eve a canine mix was a horrible character for a cyborgs love interest. Where did this come from??? So sorry I really was excited for blackies story.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to agree to disagree. I loved Blackie and I think the Canine Units are a great, though surprising, addition to the Cyborg world. I also don't see the similarity to New Species, which I also love. The only tjng disappointijng to me, was it wasm't long enough. I have no doubt her sister's book will more than make up for it. Since they didn't actually witness the death of the 5 "pups amd their mothers, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more Canine Units in the future.

Laurann, please take care of yourself and let the family take care of and pamper you. I hope the eyes are better. I remember your posts last year finding, moving and renovating the new digs.
ReplyDeleteHello Laurann,
ReplyDeleteHope your doing better, I did preorder Haunting Blackie and will be reading it this weekend. I'm going to visit the boyfriend so I have to share it with him.(just love all of those new tricks that old dog has learned) I think we got another one hooked on your books. :)
Please Laurann, take care of yourself, get well and don't worry about us - we're not going anywhere. Family and health are a priority now, we just will start re-reading every series from scratch to pass the time ;)
ReplyDeleteGet better soon and take care!
I am so sorry I have been so busy and have not been able to read any post. Laurann I hope and pray you get better soon, please take care of yourself and I will be waiting to read how much better your doing. Slow down and listen to some books on tape or your ipod. The world is a much better place with you in it so take care. Lorra
